1. ISCF and ISCI Program Launched

Sh. Hardeep S Puri, MoS(I/C), Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has stated that Smart cities fellowship and internship program will provide the youth an opportunity to experience the aspects of Urban planning and governance.

• Announcing the launch of the Smart cities digital payment award, Sh. Puri said that it is intended to promote ‘Digital India’ and ease of living for India’s urban residents by promoting digital payments and encouraging Smart Cities to adopt innovative digital payments initiatives.
• Sh. Puri launched several new initiatives under AMRUT and the Smart Cities Mission.
• These include the India Smart Cities Fellowship (ISCF) Program, India Smart Cities Internship (ISCI) Program and The Smart Cities Digital Payments Awards 2018 and the ‘CITIIS’ challenge under the Smart Cities Mission and the Local Area Plan (LAP)/Town Planning Scheme (TPS) to be implemented in 25 cities on pilot basis under AMRUT.
• The India Smart Cities Fellowship Program is designed to provide valuable experience to the youth interested in smart cities specifically

2. PM, Korean President, inaugurate mobile manufacturing facility in Noida

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, and the President of the Republic of Korea, Mr. Moon Jae-in, today jointly inaugurated a large mobile manufacturing facility of Samsung India Electronics Pvt. Ltd, at Noida.

• Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister described the occasion as a special one, in the journey to make India a global manufacturing hub.
• He said the investment of about Rs. 5000 crore, would not only strengthen Samsung’s business links with India, but is also significant in the context of the relationship between India and Korea.

3. Government declares 6 educational ‘Institutions of Eminence

The Government has shortlisted Six Institutions of Eminence (IoEs)  including 3 from Public Sector and 3 from Private Sector.

• An Empowered Expert Committee (EEC) in its report recommended selection of 6 institutions (3 from public sector and 3 from private sector) as Institutions of Eminence.

The details of these Institutions are as under:

• Public Sector: (i) Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, Karnataka; (ii) Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, Maharashtra; and (iii) Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
• Private Sector: (i) Jio Institute (Reliance Foundation), Pune under Green Field Category; (ii) Birla Institute of Technology & Sciences, Pilani, Rajasthan; and (iii) Manipal Academy of Higher Education, Manipal, Karnataka.

4. Indian Railways Introduces First Double Stack Dwarf Container Service

Under the guidance of Shri Piyush Goyal, Minister of Finance, Corporate Affairs, Railways and Coal, in order to capture the lost traffic through new delivery model for domestic cargo, Indian Railways has introduced Double Stack Dwarf Container Services.

• This freight train was flagged off on 7th July, 2018 from Western Railway’s Rajkot railway station on its maiden commercial run. 
• This train was booked from the Reliance Rail Siding at Kanalus to Rewari in the state of Haryana; it was loaded with 82 containers Polypropylene Granules.
• Due to this Double Stacked Dwarf Container service, Indian Railways has received increased revenue of Rs. 18.50 lakhs.

5. HM chairs the 67th Plenary Session of the North Eastern Council in Shillong

 

The Union Home Minister Shri Rajnath Singh has asked the North-Eastern states to expedite work on long pending projects of the North Eastern Council (NEC) and ensure maximum utilisation of funds.

• Addressing the 67th Plenary Session of the NEC in Shillong today, he said NEC and the eight North-Eastern States would have to ensure that all the ongoing projects were completed in a time bound manner.
• HM urged the states for effective implementation of the recently approved financial package of Rs 4,500 crore by the Centre and directed them to focus on specific areas and better convergence of the govt. sponsored schemes.

6. First ever ‘India Tourism Mart’ to be hosted in New Delhi

The Minister of State (I/C) for Tourism, Shri. K. J. Alphons announced that the Tourism Ministry in partnership with the  Federation of Associations in  Indian  Tourism and  Hospitality  (FAITH)  and with the support of State /UT Governments  will organize  the  ‘first ever’ India  Tourism  Mart (ITM)  from  16th  to  18th September, 2018  at  Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

• The objective  of  the event  is  to  create  an annual Global  Tourism  Mart  for  India  in line with  major  international  travel  marts  being  held  in  countries   across  the world.
• The Mart  will   provide  a  platform  for  all stakeholders  in the  tourism  and hospitality industries  to  interact  and   transact  business  opportunities. 

7. ADB accords approval for lining project of the Son canal in Shahabad – Bhojpur region

 

Union Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy Shri R.K Singh took a meeting with the officials from ADB and Finance Ministry to review the progress of  lining project of the Son canal in Shahabad – Bhojpur region of Bihar.

• During the meeting ADB representatives informed that ADB had accorded approval for this project.
• Shri RK Singh asked the ADB and Finance Ministry officials to fix a timeframe for the completion of the project.
• It was agreed during the meeting that Finance Ministry will give permission to appoint consultants by 17th July, 2018 and ADB consultants will start their work by the end of July.
• It may be noted that the estimated cost of this project is USD 503 million (Rs 3272.49 crore) out of which USD 352 million is being provided by ADB.

8. Actor Kavi Kumar Azad passes away at 46

Actor Kavi Kumar Azaad, known for playing the character of Dr Hansraaj Hathi on popular sitcom “Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma”, passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest.

• Azaad replaced actor Nirmal Soni as Dr Hathi, who played the role for a year since the show's inception, in 2009.

1. Prakash Javadekar to inaugurate 17th World Sanskrit Conference

Human Resource Development Minister Shri Prakash Javadekar will inaugurate the 17th World Sanskrit Conference to be held at Vancouver, Canada from 9th July to 13thJuly, 2018.

• More than 500 scholars and delegates from over 40 countries will be participating in this conference and exchange their knowledge by presenting papers on various subjects followed by discussions from amongst the members.
• There will be a special panel discussion on over a dozen topics like; History & Education of Women in Vedic Literature; Sanskrit Buddhist Manuscripts; Mimamsa Beyond the Yagasala; The Yuktidipika Forging a Place for Sankhya; Introducing Bhagavata Purana Commentaries; Research on the Gargiyajyotisa.
• Over 500 papers on various themes are likely to be presented during the 5-day conference.
• The purpose of this conference is to promote, preserve and practice the Sanskrit language all over the world by the people.
• The World Sanskrit Conference is being held in various countries across the globe once in every three years and so far it has been held thrice in India.

2. 51 lakh houses approved under PMAY (Urban) in 3 years of its implementation

Under PMAY (U)  so far more than 51 Lakhs dwelling units have been sanctioned against the validated demand of 1 crore in last 3 years of implementation.

• This is a huge jump in comparison to erstwhile housing scheme wherein only 12.4 Lakh houses were approved in around 9 years of its implementation.
• Out of over 51 lakh sanctioned houses, over 28 lakhs have already been grounded and are in various stages of construction.
• Further over 8 lakh houses have already been completed and nearly 8 lakh houses have been occupied by the benficiaries.
• The Government of India is committed to provide “Housing for All” by the end of the Mission period-2022.

3. RBI cancels licence of Alwar Urban Co-operative Bank

The RBI said the licence of Alwar Urban Co-operative Bank in Alwar, Rajasthan has been cancelled as it is not in a position to pay its depositors in full as and when their claims accrue, among other reasons.

• The present financial position of the bank leaves no scope for its revival, the RBI said, adding that the cancellation of the licence is effective from the close of business on July 5.

4. Dipika Pallikal to represent Asia in CGF AAC

 

Squash player Dipika Pallikal has been appointed as Asia’s representative in the prestigious Athletes Advisory Commission of the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF).

• The appointment was made by the CGF.
• The CGF Athletes Advisory Commission was proposed in August 2017.
• Each continent is represented by one athlete in CGFAAC.

5. Uday Kumar Varma appointed BCCC member

Former Information and Broadcasting secretary Uday Kumar Varma has been appointed as a member of the Broadcasting Content Complaints Council,

• BCCC is self-regulatory body for general entertainment channels.
• Varma, a former IAS officer of 1976 batch from the Madhya Pradesh cadre, attended the council's recent meeting.

6. 'The English Patient' voted best-ever Man Booker Prize winner in 50 years

Michael Ondaatje's 'The English Patient' was named the greatest-ever winner of the Man Booker Prize at an event celebrating five decades of the prestigious literary award.

• 'The English Patient' won the Booker in 1992 and was made into a 1996 movie starring Ralph Fiennes and Juliette Binoche that won nine Academy Awards.

7. Dipa Karmakar wins gold in Gymnastics World Cup

Returning to action after a long lay-off of nearly two years due to injury, India's premier gymnast Dipa Karmakar clinched the gold medal in the vault event of FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Challenge Cup at Mersin, Turkey.

• The 24-year-old from Tripura, who had finished fourth in vault event in the 2016 Rio Olympics, scored 14.150 to win gold here.
• She had topped the qualification also with a score of 13.400.
• This is Dipa's first medal in a World Challenge Cup.

8. Former Meghalaya Governor M M Jacob passes away

Senior Congress leader and former Meghalaya Governor M M Jacob passed away due to age-related ailments. He was 90.

• Jacob, a former Union Minister, had also served as deputy chairman of the Rajya Sabha in the 80s.        
• Jacob had served as general secretary and treasurer of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee and Chairman of the Kerala State Seva Dal Board and an elected member of AICC for many years.

1. यूनेस्को आंध्र प्रदेश में गेमिंग विश्वविद्यालय स्थापित करेगा

संयुक्त राष्ट्र शैक्षणिक, वैज्ञानिक और सांस्कृतिक संगठन (यूनेस्को) विशाखापत्तनम में 'गेमिंग के लिए डिजाइन विश्वविद्यालय' की स्थापना करेगा।

• यूनेस्को प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने 'गेमिंग डिजिटल लर्निंग हब' की स्थापना के लिए आंध्र प्रदेश आर्थिक विकास बोर्ड (एपीईडीबी) के साथ एक समझौते में प्रवेश किया है।
• यूनेस्को प्रतिनिधिमंडल ने मुख्यमंत्री से विशाखापत्तनम में 100 एकड़ जमीन आवंटित करने के लिए कहा है।

2. यात्रियों की पहचान प्रमाण के रूप में डिजिटल आधार तथा ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस को मंजूरी

रेल मंत्रालय ने डिजिटल लॉकर से वैध पहचान प्रमाण के रूप में प्रस्तुत किये जाने वाले आधार और ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस के विषय की समीक्षा की है और यह निर्णय लिया गया है कि ट्रेन में यात्रा करते समय यात्री अपने डिजिटल लॉकर एकाउंट के ‘जारी दस्तावेज’ सेक्शन से आधार/ ड्राइविंग लाइसेंस दिखाते हैं तो इन पहचानों को वैध प्रमाण माना जाएगा।

• लेकिन यह स्पष्ट किया जाता है कि यूजर द्वारा ‘अपलोडेड डॉक्यूमेंट’ में अपलोड किये गए दस्तावेज पहचान के वैध प्रमाण नहीं माने जायेंगे।

3. ई-कामर्स कार्य बल की पहली बैठक

वाणिज्य सचिव रीता तेवतिया ने नई दिल्ली में ई-कामर्स पर कार्य बल की पहली बैठक की अध्यक्षता की।

• बैठक में 20-22 जून, 2018 को हुई उप समूह की बैठकों के सुझावों पर चर्चा की गई।
• सीमा पार डाटा प्रवाह, करारोपण, व्यापार सहायता तथा लॉजिस्टिक्स, उपभोक्ता विश्वास, आईपीआर तथा भविष्य की टेक्नॉलाजी और स्पर्धा विषयों पर सुझाव दिये गए थे।
• उप समूहों की बैठक में विभिन्न मंत्रालयों तथा विभागों, उद्योग संस्थाओं, ई-कामर्स कंपनियों, दूरसंचार तथा आईटी कंपनियों के प्रतिनिधियों तथा स्वतंत्र विशेषज्ञों ने भाग लिया।

4. केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री ने मंत्रालय से संबद्ध संसदीय सलाहकार समिति की बैठक की अध्यक्षता की

केंद्रीय गृह मंत्री श्री राजनाथ सिंह ने कहा है कि सरकार भारतीय नागरिकों तथा विदेशियों के लिए आप्रवासन तथा वीजा की जुड़वां प्रक्रियाओं को सहज बनाने के लिए संकल्पबद्ध है।

• श्री राजनाथ सिंह केरल के कोच्ची में आप्रवासन वीजा विदेशी पंजीकरण तथा ट्रैकिंक (आईवीएफआरटी) पर मंत्रालय से संबद्ध सलाहकार समिति की बैठक को संबोधित कर रहे थे।
• 27 नवंबर, 2014 को सरकार ने 44 देशों में ई-टूरिस्ट वीजा योजना लांच की। यह ई-वीजा सुविधा बढ़ाकर 165 देशों में कर दी गई है।

5. हैदराबाद में नागरिक उड्डयन अनुसंधान केंद्र बनेगा

हैदराबाद में बेगमपेट में 18 महीने के भीतर 250 करोड़ रुपये का नागरिक उड्डयन अनुसंधान संगठन (सीआरओ) बन जायेगा।

• भारतीय विमानपत्तन प्राधिकरण के तहत सीएआरओ परियोजना के लिए आधारशिला रखते हुए केंद्रीय नागरिक उड्डयन मंत्री सुरेश प्रभु ने कहा कि केंद्र नागरिक विमानन क्षेत्र में सुधार के लिए अंतर अनुशासनिक समाधानों का पालन करेगा।
• मंत्री ने कहा, "देश का नागरिक उड्डयन क्षेत्र 20 प्रतिशत से अधिक की गति से बढ़ रहा है और हम उम्मीद करते हैं कि इस विकास की गति जारी रहेगी।

6. चीन के बाहर उभरते बाजार में एचडीएफसी बैंक सबसे मूल्यवान बैंक

चीन के बाहर उभरते बाजार में एचडीएफसी बैंक रूस के स्बेरबैंक से आगे निकलकर सबसे मूल्यवान बैंक बन गया है।

• एचडीएफसी बैंक का मौजूदा बाजार पूंजीकरण स्बेरबैंक के 74 बिलियन डॉलर के मुकाबले $78.4 बिलियन है।
• भारत के चार उधारदाता हैं जो अब दुनिया की 500 सबसे मूल्यवान कंपनियों में से एक हैं।
• एचडीएफसी बैंक के बाद हाउसिंग डेवलपमेंट फाइनेंस कॉर्पोरेशन (एचडीएफसी), कोटक महिंद्रा बैंक और स्टेट बैंक ऑफ इंडिया का स्थान है।

7. निजी क्षेत्र में आरआईएल भारत का सबसे बड़ा करदाता

रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज के चेयरमैन मुकेश अंबानी ने कहा कि रिलायंस गुड्स एंड सर्विसेज टैक्स (जीएसटी), एक्साइज एंड कस्टम्स ड्यूटी और आयकर का निजी क्षेत्र में सबसे बड़ा भुगतानकर्ता है।

• रिलायंस इंडस्ट्रीज की 41 वीं वार्षिक आम बैठक में बोलते हुए मुकेश अंबानी ने बताया कि पिछले वर्ष के अंत में जियो के ग्राहक 124 मिलियन से बढ़कर वित्त वर्ष 2018 के अंत में 210 मिलियन हो गए।

8. भेल टर्बाइनों के ओवरहाल के लिए यूक्रेन के ज़ोर्या से भागीदारी करेगा

भारत हेवी इलेक्ट्रिकल्स लिमिटेड (बीएचईएल) भारत में टर्बाइनों को ओवरहाल करने के लिए यूक्रेनी निर्माता, ज़ोर्या मैशप्रोकेट के साथ भारत में संयुक्त उद्यम (जेवी) स्थापित कर रहा है।

• नौसेना के पास जल्द ही ज़ोर्या टरबाइन द्वारा संचालित 34 युद्धपोत होंगे, जिसमें चार टरबाइन प्रति पोत होंगे, जिसमें 136 इन-सर्विस टरबाइन शामिल होंगे।
• छः आठ अतिरिक्त टर्बाइनों का भी स्टॉक होगा। 30,000 घंटे चलने के बाद एक टरबाइन को ओवरहाल किया जाता है।

1. रक्षा मंत्रालय ने 17 नये बैफल फायरिंग रेंज बनाने की स्वीकृति दी

रक्षा मंत्रालय ने मिलिट्री स्टेशनों/छावनियों/प्रशिक्षण संस्थानों में 238 करोड़ रुपये की अनुमानित लागत से 17 नये बैफल फायरिंग रेंज बनाने की स्वीकृति दे दी है।

• इससे दक्षिण कमान को सात रेंज, पूर्वी कमान को तीन रेंज, उत्तरी कमान को दो रेंज और दक्षिण-पश्चिम तथा मध्य कमान को एक-एक रेंज प्राप्त होंगे। मध्य कमान में एक रेंज का प्रस्ताव ऑफिसर्स ट्रेनिंग अकादमी, गया के लिए किया गया है।
• यह 17 फायरिंग रेंज देश के 60 फायरिंग रेंजों के अतिरिक्त होंगे। प्रस्तावित बैफल फायरिंग रेंज से 300 से 500 मीटर तक फायरिंग करने में सहायता मिलेगी।
• बैफल फायरिंग रेंज शूटिंग अभ्यास क्षेत्र होते हैं, जो गोली चलने से संभावित दुर्घटना रोकते हैं।

5. करगिल विजय दिवस की स्मृति में भारतीय सेना का मोटरसाइकिल अभियान

कोर ऑफ मिलिट्री पुलिस की विशिष्ट मोटरसाइकिल प्रदर्शन टीम 'श्वेत अश्व' केमोटरसाइकिल अभियान को 1999 में भारतीय सेना के ऑपरेशन विजय की स्मृति में 2 जुलाई, 2018 को झंडा दिखाकर रवाना किया गया।

• यह मोटरसाइकिल दल देश के आठ राज्य होते हुए बंगलुरू से द्रास, जम्मू-कश्मीर तक3250 किलोमीटर की दूरी 24 दिनों में पूरी करेगा और 26 जुलाई, 2018 को करगिल युद्धस्मारक, द्रास पहुंचेगा।
• 'श्वेत अश्व' का गठन 1952 में सीएमपी केन्द्र और स्कूल, फैजाबाद में किया गया था।अपने गठन के बाद से इस टीम ने राष्ट्रीय और अंतर्राष्ट्रीय आयोजनों में अपना प्रदर्शनदिखाया है और ‘श्वेत अश्व’ के नाम तीन गिनिस बुक ऑफ वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड हैं।

3. भारत निर्वाचन आयोग ने मोबाइल ऐप “सीविजिल” लांच किया

मुख्य निर्वाचन आयुक्त श्री ओ.पी. रावत ने 3 जुलाई, 2018 को निर्वाचन आयुक्त श्री सुनील अरोड़ा तथा श्री अशोक लवासा के साथ चुनाव के दौरान आदर्श आचार संहिता के उल्लंघन की रिपोर्ट करने में नागरिकों को सक्षम बनाने के लिए “सीविजिल” ऐप लांच किया।

• “सीविजिल” ऐप यूजर्स सहज और एन्ड्रायड एप्लीकेशन संचालन में आसान है। यह ऐप उन्हीं स्थानों पर चालू होगा, जहां चुनाव की घोषणा की गई है।
• लेकिन, ऐप का बीटा वर्जन लोगों तथा चुनाव कर्मियों के लिए उपलब्ध होगा, ताकि ये लोग इसकी विशेषताओं से परिचित हो सकें और डमी डाटा भेजने का प्रयास कर सकें।
• परीक्षण के सफलतापूर्वक पूरा होने पर इसे सार्वजनिक रूप से लोगों द्वारा इस्तेमाल के लिए उपलब्ध कराया जाएगा। यह उपलब्धता छत्तीसगढ़, मध्य प्रदेश, मिजोरम तथा राजस्थान के आगामी विधानसभा चुनाव से ही होगी।
• चार राज्यों के विधानसभा चुनावों के दौरान ऐप का व्यावहारिक उपयोग अगले लोकसभा चुनाव के दौरान व्यापक रूप से करने से पहले पायलट प्रयास के रूप में काम करेगा।

4. झारखंड में देश का पहला खादी मॉल स्थापित होगा

झारखंड के मुख्यमंत्री रघुबर दास ने घोषणा की कि जल्द ही देश का पहला 'खादी मॉल' रांची में खोला जाएगा।

• देश के पहले खादी मॉल को विकसित करने के लिए भारी इंजीनियरिंग निगम (एचईसी) परिसर में भूमि खादी बोर्ड को उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी।

5. डोनेर मंत्री डॉ जितेंद्र सिंह जौवाई, मेघालय में "बेदीनख्लम" पर्व में भाग लिया

उत्तर पूर्वी क्षेत्रों के विकास, प्रधानमंत्री कार्यालय, कार्मिक, लोक शिकायत, पेंशन, परमाणु ऊर्जा और अंतरिक्ष मामलों के केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री (स्वतंत्र प्रभार) डॉ जितेंद्र सिंह ने मेघालय के 4 दिवसीय वार्षिक सांस्कृतिक महोत्सव "बेदीनख्लम", में भाग लिया जिसे हर साल मेघालय के छोटे परिधीय शहर जौवाई में आयोजित किया जाता है।

• पर्व के समापन दिवस पर, डॉ जितेंद्र सिंह ने पूरे क्षेत्र के आगंतुकों के साथ समय बिताया जो महोत्सव में भाग लेने आए थे। उन्होंने इवेंट से जुड़े धार्मिक अनुष्ठानों में भी रुचि दिखाई।

6. नीति आयोग भारत का पहला ग्लोबल मोबिलिटी शिखर सम्मेलन आयोजित करेगा

प्रौद्योगिकी की कम होती लागत और नए व्यापार प्रारूपों ने विश्व को नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा और बिजली से चलने वाले वाहनों को अपनाने के लिए प्रेरित किया है।

• इस परिप्रेक्ष्य में विभिन्न मंत्रालयों व उद्योग जगत के सहयोग से नीति आयोग 7 व 8 सितंबर, 2018 को नई दिल्ली में ‘मूव – ग्लोबल मोबिलिटी शिखर सम्मेलन’ का आयोजन करेगा।
• इस सम्मेलन से सरकार के लक्ष्यों – बिजली से चलने वाले वाहन, नवीकरणीय ऊर्जा एकीकरण तथा रोजगार के अवसरों का निर्माण – को प्रोत्साहन मिलेगा।
• विश्व स्तर पर मोबिलिटी का परिदृश्य बदल रहा है। इस क्षेत्र के हितधारक इस सम्मेलन के माध्यम से विचार-विमर्श करेंगे।
• सम्मेलन के तीन घटक होंगे – सम्मेलन, प्रदर्शनी और विशेष कार्यक्रम।

7. रजत शर्मा डीडीसीए अध्यक्ष के रूप में चुने गए

वरिष्ठ पत्रकार रजत शर्मा विश्व कप जीतने वाले भारतीय क्रिकेटर मदन लाल को 517 वोटों से हराकर दिल्ली और जिला क्रिकेट संघ के नए अध्यक्ष बने।

• शर्मा के समूह ने 12 सीटें जीतकर चुनाव में सफाया किया।
• शर्मा को कुल 1,531 वोट मिले जबकि पूर्व टेस्ट क्रिकेट खिलाड़ी लाल केवल 1,004 मत हासिल सके।

8. सरस्वती प्रसाद ने सेल सीएमडी के रूप में प्रभार संभाला

वरिष्ठ नौकरशाह सरस्वती प्रसाद ने इस्पात पीएसयू सेल के अध्यक्ष और प्रबंध निदेशक के रूप में अतिरिक्त प्रभार संभाला है।

• प्रसाद ने पी के सिंह की जगह ली जो 30 जून को सेवानिवृत्त हुए हैं।
• सरकार के हेडहंटर पीईएसबी ने पहले सेल के शीर्ष पद के लिए अनिल कुमार चौधरी के नाम की सिफारिश की थी।

9. पूर्व नौसेना प्रमुख जेजी नादकर्णी का निधन 

भारतीय नौसेना के पूर्व प्रमुख, एडमिरल जयंत गणपत नादकर्णी का निधन हो गया है। वह 86 वर्ष के थे।

• नौसेना के 14वें चीफ नादकर्णी (दिसंबर 1987 - नवंबर 1990) ने नौसेना अस्पताल आईएनएचएस अश्विनी में आखिरी साँस ली।
• वह एक समुद्री इतिहासकार थे और समुद्री इतिहास सोसाइटी के संस्थापक सदस्य थे।
